SharePoint Kanban Board Web Part is an agile tool to visualize and manage tasks in SharePoint 2019, 2016, 2013, and 2010. Virto Kanban web part allows you to show any SharePoint list and multiple lists as a Kanban Board, where you can drag&drop and sort tasks between columns and swimlanes of a project. With this SharePoint task management web part, managers can quickly reveal bottlenecks and blockers. Less time is spent sorting out how projects are coming along because everything is visible on the SharePoint Kanban board. It is a part of Virto ONE License. It is also available as Kanban Board App for Office 365 and supports SharePoint Server Subscription Edition.
You can quickly drag & drop tasks between Kanban columns and swimlanes. Virto SharePoint Kanban web part allows you to customize columns and select swimlanes from SharePoint list choice fields to represent steps of a project. For example, you can use swimlanes to distinguish the priority or responsibility of sub-processes.
SharePoint Kanban web part allows you to overlay multiple SharePoint lists and manage tasks from them on a kanban board. You can merge lists by the same content type and any lists with coinciding fields.
With SharePoint Kanban Board Web Part, you can configure access to SharePoint task management. You can set a list of users who can change task content. This way, users can only manage their own tasks or have permission to manage all tasks.
Task watchers receive emails about any changes in the task even if they are not assigned to this task. The task notification feature allows you to track specific changes of a task according to custom conditions (for example, get comments to a task as an email notification instead of tracking comments on board). You can also allow sending notifications to users assigned to a task.
Virto SharePoint Kanban Web Part supports subtasks. Use subtasks when you need to split your Kanban tasks and manage them in detail. You can make an existing task be a subtask or create a new one.
SharePoint Kanban Board web part displays statistics of your teamwork with charts and diagrams. You can switch from the Kanban Board view to the charts page to track the status of the tasks of the whole project and see user tasks statistics. You can show or hide data from diagrams by clicking on any value on the picture.
SharePoint Kanban Board Web Part allows you to sort or group tasks according to custom condition filters. Apply filters to display all tasks assigned to a specified user, tasks from a certain project, or use any other value from the SharePoint list fields. You may also use task sorting on a column according to a specified field (for example, sort tasks in each cell according to Start Date).
There are common filters for all SharePoint Kanban board users and personal filters. This means you can create a personal task filter visible only to you.
You can use an interactive search control to show only the tasks matching to any entered task value (text, numbers, and symbols) that is displayed on cards. SharePoint Kanban cards can be edited in the edit form or from a card directly. When you hover the mouse cursor to a card field and click on it, you can edit this field without opening a full edit form.
You can simplify SharePoint task management, using multicolored tasks and condition markers. SharePoint Kanban Board Web Part allows you to customize color marker, for example, which informs users about overdue tasks. Also, you can define a marker for a custom condition and assign any color to the task body, according to predefined settings.
SharePoint Kanban Web Part provides the ability to aggregate data for a column with the Count option (Sum or Average). This can be used for workload optimization and efficient SharePoint task management. For example, if a list has a “Hours” field (a number field), you can count the time required to close all tasks.
SharePoint Kanban Board Web Part is a Task Management Solution Intended to Visualize and Manage Tasks in a Kanban View
Using this component, you can show any SharePoint lists on a Kanban Board, also named Agile Board, where cards are divided into columns usually depending on the status, and show the tasks to be done. With this agile task process, managers can quickly reveal bottlenecks and blockers. Less time is spent sorting out how projects are coming along because of the visual method of monitoring the agile tasks.
To adjust the SharePoint Kanban Board on your SharePoint site, you need to select a list and define the choice fields that will be used as the columns set and as the swimlanes set. For example, you can add Task Priority columns to your Kanban and add Project, or Assigned User, or any other swimlanes set from an according to list column. Through this, you can easily view and change the status of the tasks with the drag&drop feature.
