When Virto Calendar App fits — and when it does not
The timetable is kept in a SharePoint list; school events are in group calendars and holidays come as an iCal feed.
The timetable, the school calendars and the holiday feed are overlaid in one view, so a class that falls on a closing day or during an assembly is visible in advance.
Classrooms and labs are booked through room mailboxes.
The room mailboxes are drawn next to the timetable, so a replacement class is moved into a room that is actually free.
Classes are recurring events, and the Year Quarter view shows three months on one page.
Virto Calendar App does not generate timetables. It shows the timetable your scheduling system produces next to rooms, events and holidays.
