Every Firm Event in One Calendar — Inside Your Own Tenant

For accounting and advisory firms whose IT does not approve store apps: client seminars, webinars, CPE courses and internal events in one calendar, filtered by practice, with Virto Calendar App running inside the firm's own Azure and Microsoft 365 tenant.

One Events Calendar Your IT Team Can Approve

The same Virto Calendar App your people would see in Microsoft 365 and Teams, built as the firm's private app and run on the firm's own Azure subscription. The screens show a demo events calendar in our own test tenant.

Every client and internal event in one view

Client and internal events together

Seminars, webinars and networking evenings for clients come from one SharePoint list, CPE courses, all-hands and practice meetings from another, and all of them appear on one calendar.

Existing calendars stay where they are

Event lists the firm already keeps connect as sources on their own sites, with no migration. Holiday feeds and Microsoft 365 group calendars can be added alongside them.

Where the firm already works

The calendar opens as a tab in Microsoft Teams and as a web part on an intranet page in SharePoint.

Five weeks of a firm's events: client seminars and webinars from one SharePoint list, CPE courses and internal meetings from another, coloured by practice, with US holidays from a public calendar feed.

Each practice sees its own events

Practices as categories

Advisory, Tax, Assurance and Firm-wide colour each event and filter the calendar. A practice can also have a calendar of its own.

A calendar for each office

A calendar built on a SharePoint view shows one office's events in the same practice colours. Events in other cities are found with search.

Register or for information

An Audience column tells people which events are open for registration and which are for information. The registration link opens the firm's own event page.

Virto Calendar App, Firm events (demo) calendar with the Categories panel open: Uncategorized, Advisory, Assurance and Firm-wide unticked and Tax ticked, so the month shows only the tax events, among them the year-end tax planning seminars on 28 October and 19 November, the tax update breakfast and the estate planning webinar on 12 November and CPE: State and local tax on the 13th
Tax only: one click in Categories hides the other practices' events and leaves the tax seminars, webinars and CPE courses.

Runs on your Azure, approved by your security team

Your subscription, your sign-in

The application runs on an Azure App Service in the firm's subscription, under the firm's domain. People sign in through the firm's own single-tenant app registration in Entra ID, with the OAuth 2.0 authorization code flow and PKCE.

Delegated permissions, approved first

The app acts as the signed-in person and never sees more than that person can already open. The security team approves the permission set before the packages are built. A reduced set drops SharePoint list calendars and group calendars, which this events calendar relies on, so the full set is agreed up front.

VirtoSoftware is not in the data path

Events stay in the firm's SharePoint and Exchange. The firm's administrators enter the client secret and the storage connection string themselves; we only receive a publish profile to deploy the code.

Each event card shows the list's own columns: city, session type, practice, whether to register, and the link to the registration page.

Key benefits

A different security review

When store apps are blocked, a private app built for the firm's own tenant is reviewed like any internal application. Its permissions, its sign-in and where it runs are all the firm's, and its Teams and SharePoint packages carry the firm's name.

Event details stay in the firm

Client and internal events stay in the firm's SharePoint and Exchange, under the permissions the firm has already set.

A written guide for each administrator

Azure, Entra ID, SharePoint and Teams administrators work from a step-by-step document with screenshots, and name their owners up front. No remote session is required.

Short engineering work

Our part — publishing to the firm's App Service and building the packages — takes a few business days. The elapsed time depends on the firm's own approvals.

Updates on the firm's schedule

New versions are deployed the same way as the first one, on an update schedule aligned with the firm's IT operations.

Support during the licence term

Updates and support are part of the Enterprise package, along with knowledge transfer for the firm's IT team.

The right setup for your firm

Real-life scenario
Best fit
Why it works
The firm blocks Microsoft Store and AppSource apps

A firm-wide events calendar is wanted, but a multi-tenant store app does not pass the security review.

Deployed as the firm's private app in its own Azure subscription and tenant, with the permission set the security team approved.

One office wants its events next to Outlook

The office is small, and the firm's policy allows Marketplace apps.

The Microsoft Marketplace version is the quickest start. The in-tenant build is for a firm-wide rollout under corporate IT.

Sign-ups, attendee lists and invitations
Your event registration or marketing platform

Virto Calendar App shows when and where each event takes place and links to its registration page. Sign-ups, attendee lists and invitations stay in the system that runs them.
