Hello,
We are running latest version available from this site as a demo. We are having an issue with customizing the web part. When we open Site Administration and click on the Virto Active Service Settings, it is trying to push us to the root on our sharepoint server and ultimately giving us page cannot be displayed. We have multiple Sites and would like this to show under an existing one.
This link for customizing points to http://Sharepoint/_layouts/ADConfigFeature/ADSettings.aspx. It should be pointing to http://sharepoint/sites/home/it/_layouts/ADConfigFeature/ADSettings.aspx. If I change to the correct link in the address bar, it works.
Can someone assist us with this?
Thank you.
Hello, what url does you page with site settings have: http://sharepoint/sites/home/it/_layouts/settings.aspx or http://Sharepoint/_layouts/settings.aspx?
It has this one http://Sharepoint/_layouts/ADConfigFeature/ADSettings.aspx. It comes up with this url no matter what site you started with.
Hello, please check if "Virto Active Directory User Service for SharePoint" feature is activated in your http://sharepoint/sites/home/it/ site collection features. If it is activated please make a screenshot of your web application site collection list in SharePoint 3.0 Central Administration tool and send it to support@virtosoftware.com
(Quick Reply messed up my formatting)
I'm having the same problem. I installed the solution to a single site collection in a single web application: http://sharepoint/sitecollection
On the Site Settings page at http://sharepoint/sitecollection/_layouts/settings.aspx, the "Virto Active Directory Service Settings" link points to the top level site collection (http://sharepoint/_layouts/ADConfigFeature/ADSettings.aspx) instead of the settings for the current site collection.
Note: I can get around this by manually entering the correct URL, i.e. http://sharepoint/sitecollection/_layouts/ADConfigFeature/ADSettings.aspx
For what it's worth, my sitecollection is at an Explicit Inclusion managed path. I haven't tested it at any other site collections.
I just noticed that all the Field editing links are also pointing to the top level site collection, which is more annoying to work around. In my case, the AD Service feature was not activated under Site Collection Features for either my intended site collection or the top level site collection. It is now activated for both, but the problem remains.
I will try uninstalling then adding/deploying the solution manually.
Hello, what Field editing links do you mean? Links on ADSetings.aspx page or on ADFields.aspx page?
