I have installed your clock and weather webpart and am getting an error message (An unexpected error has occurred) when I try to search for some (but not all) locations.

It will search and find locations for Canada or Mexico but when I search for locations such as Oklahoma or Texas, it gives me an error.

There were no issues duing installation and the solution is in the solution store showing it deployed to all servers successfully.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this one?  where are the locations stored?  The error is very vague.

I tried to search for "Texas" and "Oklahoma" and everything seems to be ok. The cities' data is taken from external web service weather.msn.com/data.aspx. May be you should try to find cities by ZIP code?

That did the trick.  our servers are blocked from browsing certain domains and that was one.  It was unblocked and now the webpart works great.  Thanks for the quick response!

cheers.
